Metric screw with additional function for ground bonding
The b&m-CONTACTSCREW® eliminates the need for extra grounding cables in cladding installations. It combines the functions of a tool and fastener in one, creating reliable ground bonding between the parts it secures. This metric screw also repairs superficial thread deformations and removes coating residues such as paint, weld spatter, and blasting material from female threads.
Functional principle
The b&m-CONTACTSCREW® ensures effective electrical ground bonding with two functional elements: three axial grooves along its first four threads that clean the threads of the part being fastened into, and a ring cutter on the bottom of the screw head that removes the coating from the clamped part. This ensures good and reliable electrical conductivity between all parts.
