Decoupling element for absorbing and deflecting vibrations and noise

Mechanical failure, faster wear, lower performance: Excessive noise and vibrations can signifcantly degrade the performance and longevity of assemblies. As a fastener – with or without an internal thread – the b&m-VIBE® is suitable for preventing the transmission of vibrations to neighboring components. At the same time, the b&m-VIBE® minimizes noise emissions in your applications.

Functional principle


In the threaded version, the b&m-VIBE® utilizes a threaded insert overmolded with an elastomer. Its counterpart, a b&m-VIBE® with only a sleeve, requires a thread in the counterpart to create the clamping. In both versions, the elastomer compresses as the screw is tightened, creating a bulge that secures the fastened component. The result is a secure and reversible connection with damping properties.
