Electrically powered – from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds – and partly driverless, they were on their toes on several race tracks in Europe. “The events in Hungary, Spain and Italy were enormously strong in terms of atmosphere, and one result highlight was third place in the skid pad discipline,” reports Chief Operation Officer Björn Hellmann. “But especially the performance at the Hockenheimring was a special experience for all of us. The best teams in the world came together there.”
Technically speaking, 2022 was an exciting challenge for the Darmstadt-based company. Not only because a new carbon monoque was integrated. For the first time, a DART racing car started with engines developed in-house. Says Hellmann: “Although we haven’t yet been able to fully exploit the potential of the engines, we’ve learned a lot that will be used for next year’s car.”
